You asked for it so here's the topic! :) What can we do to be more proactive concerning alternative energy. The concern being until perhaps the government steps in and forces it, corporations are not likely to speed progress in alternative energy. Am I understanding correctly? For instance, how long until the infrastructure is available for the hydro cars?

As purely my personal opinion I ask why do we wait for our government to do anything. It seems to me we, including myself, have become complacent with what the government does for us and then we are not always happy with it. I think sometimes we have to take matters into our own hands and see what we come up with. I don't think government will ever FORCE anything on corporations unless we insist that it be done. The government is supposed to work for the people not the other way around. This is why I started my own web site in an effort to bring information about alternative energy together on one site.
