WIREC 2008 Danish Success Story. Presented by Connie Hedegaard

This presentation by Ms. Connie Hedegaard, Danish Minister for Environment was given at WIREC 2008 in March. She explains how the economic advantages of alternative energy have helped Denmark.

Ms. Hedegaard presents a case study of glowing economic success of Alternative Energy in Denmark. She claims it has given an enormous first mover advantage such that one-third of all the wind turbines in the world were manufactured in Denmark. Their exports have tripled in this sector in the last 10 years. Their energy consumption has stayed flat over 25 years despite 70% growth to their economy.

For those who speak Danish or want to see Ms. Hedegaard in front of incredible sea based wind turbines.
