The polar bear declared a threatened species
The Interior Department declared the polar bear a threatened species today because of the loss of Arctic sea ice but also cautioned the decision should not be viewed as a path to address global warming. this is good news, but it's also extremely aggravating because the Bush still refuses to do anything about global warming which is the main cause of the polar bear's habitat destruction. I certainly hope the Democrats win in the fall!
