This book shows how difficult both the technical and political details will be to resolve.
There are so many different perspectives on these global issues that there is really no consensus.
I think MacKay's book could be the basis for one.
My favorite new book on sustainable energy is available from Dr David MacKay for free! at, www.withouthotair.com

New Orleans Voices for Peace...ironic that New Orleans would find its voice against government oppression because of the devastation of a Hurricane, made worse by government intervention!
Thanks, Lori
This is Doug from the radio/blog show yesterday. The environmental group I was talking about is G.I.V.E. which stands for the Green Institute for Village Empowerment. The main force and director behind this group is Ali Sahibbi, a very committed and energetic force in the green movement. Check out some of the seminars and conferences they've been hosting on their website. I think you'll find them pretty interesting, especially the group's outreach to schools.
Take care,
Doug
Grateful to you.
Ashraf.
Pls. note I am completely new to the subject alternative energy. To know some thing on the subject, I visited the site. And this is first time ever that I visited the site on alternative energy. Just went through several article in the local newspaper at times. That's it.
By the by, pls be informed, even after residing in the Metropolitan area, and consumer of the govt. water supply, we drink water by boiling, let alone the semi-urban, remote villages. Some district were affected by the arsenic problem. But, mass awarness created by govt. and different NGOs has controlled the situation to a great extent.
Note down web address given by you. Thanks.
I would appreciate if you familiarize me to some extent on the subject atnative energy. I am familiar with the term Global Warming and its causes, Green House Effect, Why Climate Changes, International KIATO pact, etc. That's all.
Thanks.
Ashraf
