It looks like you're building something. If you do want to go with adobe which has an inherent energy efficiency built in, let me know. I know of a technology that you might be interested in. It look like the property is somewhere in the Mojave Desert. Is that right? Let me know if you need anything.
Kind regards,
Glen Roberts
Great hearing back and getting my mind wrapped around what you are talking about. I have done the alternative building exploration for the past two years, strawbale, papercrete, cobb & ash block. I was sold on SIPS building until I choked on the cost of the panels. I have 10 beautiful acres of desert. Had the well drilled last July and rented a ditch witch a few weeks ago and trenched 214 ft from the utility pole onto the land. I take progress as I can do it! I can send you some photos of the terrain and, yes, I want to visually blend into the landscape.
I work for a busy B&B owned by The Nature Conservancy and we are closing tomorrow so the staff can have some down time/vacation so I will have more time to communicate. Thanks again,
Esther
2 smooth walled composite panels that can be any shape. Seperated by the thickness desired of the material chosen. Mud! haha
AA substructure can be in place prior to casting for rigidity and all the electrical as well. It's like pouring concreteand all the components are suspended in the mud. Leave to dry and paint! Kool huh? Of course the shape is paramount for loading and estetics. Remember in star wars those kool under ground structures of Lukes family? That's kind of out there but, doable. Oh ya ur water problem; stretch a clear polyethylene tarp over any where out there and watch the condensation happen. Increase in scale and move it around from time to time and u should have water dripping off the plastic! Sooo... there is a couple of ideas to think on. Kev
